Estadio BBVA
500 people from GP Construcción were those who for 14 months built the headquarters of great passions, for more than 51,800 spectators of Mexican football. GP Construcción contributed to the construction of such an important project; he had the responsibility of carrying out 430,552 sqft of civil works and masonry, an avant-garde construction, where the greatest constructive challenge was the realization of the 70 tripods of elliptical and siamese shape at its base and trunk-conical at its height, made of apparent concrete on site, which required about 2,000 castings; where the required accuracy was very precise to receive the steel structure that covers the enclosure.
The BBVA Stadium was built under LEED construction parameters, obtaining LEED SILVER certification for actions such as:
- Strict control of dust emissions.
- Use of regional materials during construction that complied with the certificate of quality and origin.
- Waste management through companies specialized in environmental control.
- Equipment in optimal conditions to prevent leaks during operation.
A project as complete as this, with so many people contributing to its building, had to be done in a coordinated way and well communicated with the offices of New York, Mexico and Nuevo León; Therefore, the BIM (Building Information Modeling) platform and the REVIT program were used to optimally take the time program, costs and quantity of materials, among other things.
