Los Cabos Airport
Expansion and integration of Terminal Building No. 2 with Terminal Building No. 3, at the San José del Cabo International Airport in Baja California Sur. The work got built in 3 stages:
- 1st Stage: The facade and floor will be remodeled, and the columns will be reinforced, also walls and finishes will be added.
- 2nd Stage: The foundation and footings for the towers of the boarding bridges are carried out.
- 3rd Stage: The dismantling of ramps and the construction of the boarding bridges are carried out.
The main challenge in the execution of this work is the interaction with the usual activities of the airport, since it cannot interfere with its daily operations. The area in which the complexity of the coordination is greater is in the so-called “air side” (airplane transit zone), due to the schedules and regulations that govern the operation of the Airport, so the anticipated planning of activities together with the appropriate request for permits to release the necessary areas, they are of the greatest importance.
Los Cabos International Airport is located 6.85 miles from San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur.
Terminal 1 serves all local operations and some international flights, while Terminal 2 works for international flights only.
