Bobcat is embarking on a new chapter with its first manufacturing plant in Mexico, built by GP Construcción

A new industrial operation is taking shape in Nuevo León. Bobcat, a global company specializing in construction machinery and equipment, is embarking on a new chapter in Mexico with a plant spanning nearly 70,000 m², built by GP Construcción in Ciénega de Flores.
Built on a site of approximately 160,000 m², this greenfield project builds on our experience in constructing industrial projects in Mexico and demonstrates GP Construcción’s ability to support global companies as they expand their operations in the country.
Bobcat is an American company with nearly 70 years of experience, recognized globally for the development and manufacture of machinery and equipment for the construction, agriculture, and grounds maintenance industries.
An industrial project covering nearly 70,000 m²
The new manufacturing plant in Nuevo León combines production, operational, and administrative spaces designed to meet the needs of Bobcat's operations in Mexico.
The main facility covers more than 50,000 m² and includes assembly, welding, and warehouse areas, as well as a paint shop. The complex also houses Bobcat’s Mexico headquarters and various spaces designated for its employees.

Industrial Construction Facing a Challenging Schedule
The project began in June 2024 and was completed in December 2025. One of the main challenges was meeting a highly demanding construction schedule despite weather conditions that resulted in more than 70 days of rain during the project.
To keep the project moving forward, we implemented multiple simultaneous work fronts, supported by constant coordination among teams, disciplines, and on-site activities.
The construction also required precise coordination between the tilt-up walls, the structural framework, the roof, and the floor slabs, optimizing work sequences and schedules to address the project’s challenges.

Technology Applied to Construction
Technology played a key role during the planning and execution phases. Using VDC and BIM, we integrated 3D models and digital drawings in the cloud to facilitate coordination and visualization of the project.
Progress was also monitored using digital tools and weekly drone surveys, which strengthened monitoring and decision-making during industrial construction.
This technological integration is part of our approach to developing industrial projects in Mexico, linking digital planning with on-site execution.
Efficiency and Sustainability
The plant incorporates solutions designed to improve the efficiency of its facilities, including thermal barriers on the facade and windows, electric vehicle charging stations, wastewater treatment, and automated lighting systems.
These solutions complement a project designed not only to meet the operation’s current needs but also to support its growth in Mexico.
A new industrial facility built to support growth
Bobcat's new plant in Ciénega de Flores reinforces our expertise as a construction company in Mexico specializing in large-scale industrial projects and the development of facilities for domestic and international companies.

At GP Construcción, we integrate design, pre-construction, VDC/BIM, and construction to develop industrial plants and facilities in Mexico, combining experience, technology, and execution capabilities to address the unique challenges of each project.
