GP Construcción moves forward with the construction of the new Nuevo León Children's Hospital in Guadalupe
Construction of the new Nuevo León Children's Hospital, located in the municipality of Guadalupe, continues to progress according to schedule. This project represents one of the most significant pediatric hospital infrastructure initiatives in northern Mexico and is part of the development of the Nuevo León Children's District.
The hospital is being built by GP Construcción, a Mexican company specializing in large-scale projects in the industrial, infrastructure, building, and commercial sectors.
This project seeks to strengthen specialized medical care for children in the state, as well as expand pediatric hospital capacity in the region.
Authorities monitor the progress of the project
As part of the follow-up on the state's strategic projects, the governor of Nuevo León, Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda, and Mariana Rodríguez Cantú recently toured the project to supervise the progress of the construction of the new hospital.
Also present during the visit were Nuevo León Health Secretary Alma Rosa Marroquín Escamilla and other invited officials, who learned about the progress of the work and the scope of the hospital project.
The authorities emphasized that the Children's Hospital is part of a comprehensive vision to consolidate the Nuevo León Children's District, a space that will bring together infrastructure dedicated to the care, protection, and development of children and adolescents.
As part of the tour, the GP Construcción team presented the progress of the project using Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) tools, which allow the development of the work to be visualized through digital simulations and three-dimensional models. This technology facilitates the planning, coordination, and optimization of construction processes in large-scale projects.
A highly specialized pediatric hospital in Nuevo León
The new Nuevo León Children's Hospital will have medical infrastructure designed to provide specialized, high-capacity pediatric care.
Its main features include:
- 309 hospital beds
- 31 pediatric specialties
- 28 specialty clinics for outpatient consultations
- 27 additional clinics within the hospital complex
- Four buildings for general consultation and hospitalization
The hospital will include medical specialties such as pediatric oncology, pediatric neurology, and pediatric endocrinology, among other key areas for comprehensive childhood care.
This hospital complex is part of the Nuevo León Children's District, an urban project that seeks to integrate public infrastructure focused on the well-being and development of children. Within this district, there will be a concentration of different spaces and institutions dedicated to child protection, care, and recreation.
Currently, construction of the hospital continues to progress according to the project implementation schedule.
This development represents a significant step toward strengthening pediatric hospital infrastructure in the state and expanding specialized medical care capacity for children.
