GP Construcción Joins the United Nations Global Compact

At GP Construcción, we are taking another step forward in our commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices: we are joining the United Nations Global Compact, the UN’s corporate sustainability initiative. Being part of this initiative strengthens our commitment to integrating the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact into our strategy and operations, with a focus on four key areas: human rights, labor practices, the environment, and anti-corruption.
It also allows us to continue aligning our actions with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, with the aim of making a positive impact on people, communities, and the environment.

We build on principles that transcend
For us, promoting sustainability in construction goes far beyond the projects we undertake.
It means thinking about the impact we have through our decisions, the well-being and development of our employees, the relationships we build with customers and suppliers, the communities we are part of, and our responsibility toward the environment.
Throughout our history in the construction industry in Mexico, we have sought to evolve the way we build and do business. Today, by joining the United Nations Global Compact, we are reinforcing that path within a framework of universal principles that drives us to continue moving forward and improving.
What does it mean to be a member of the Global Compact?
The United Nations Global Compact invites companies around the world to incorporate 10 universal principles into their strategy, culture, and operations.
These principles relate to respect for and protection of human rights, the development of responsible labor practices, environmental stewardship, and the prevention of corruption.
For GP Construcción, embracing these principles means strengthening a vision that seeks to generate mutual growth and long-term value for our various stakeholders.
It also means continuing to promote responsible and sustainable construction in Mexico, incorporating best practices that will enable us to address the current and future challenges facing our industry.
A commitment we continue to build
Joining the UN Global Compact is not an end in itself, but a commitment to continue moving forward.
We will continue to work to translate these principles into action, measure our progress, and strengthen our practices in the areas of sustainability, corporate social responsibility, ethics, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria.
This commitment also drives us to continue evolving and to contribute, through our industry, to the development of sustainable businesses in Mexico and to a more responsible approach to construction.
Because just as every project is built step by step, so is a more responsible company.
Today we are adding a new milestone to our history and continuing to build with a long-term, sustainable vision.
