Welcome, Bobcat, to Nuevo León!

GP Construcción attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Doosan Bobcat project, a new plant located in Interpuerto, Salinas Victoria. This plant is the first of its kind in Nuevo León and will feature more than 60,000 m² dedicated to the manufacture of skid-steer loaders.

Doosan Bobcat: A Leading Manufacturer 

Bobcat is a leading company in the manufacturing and distribution of compact equipment, industrial vehicles, grounds maintenance equipment, and portable electric vehicles, and it continues to expand with this new project. The plant will focus on the production of Bobcat M-Series skid-steer loaders and is expected to create between 600 and 800 new jobs in the region.

Scott Park, CEO and vice president of Doosan Bobcat, highlighted the importance of this new investment for the company, noting its positive impact on the local economy and industrial innovation. The event was also attended by the state governor, Samuel García Sepúlveda, who expressed his support for this initiative, which will strengthen Nuevo León’s industrial infrastructure.

Bobcat is seeking LEED Silver certification 

At the event, it was noted that the plant located in the Interpuerto Monterrey Industrial Park will seek LEED Silver certification, an international recognition for sustainable buildings awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council. This system evaluates and certifies buildings that meet strict standards for sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

The pursuit of this certification reflects Doosan Bobcat and GP Construcción's commitment to sustainable construction and energy efficiency, using state-of-the-art technology to ensure quality and precision in their processes.
