GP Construcción is driving Dana's expansion in Escobedo with a project covering more than 81,000 m²
At GP Construcción, we are building on our experience in the industrial sector with the expansion of the Dana plant—a global leader in solutions for the automotive industry—located in Pocket Park Escobedo, Nuevo León, one of GP Desarrollos’ industrial parks.
This project involves 81,600 m² of construction completed in record time, with on-site work beginning on June 10, 2024, and an estimated completion date of July 16, 2025.
Scope of the Project
The project involved a comprehensive development that included:
- Civil Engineering: foundations, masonry, pavement, steel structure, and wall and roof cladding.
- MEP Systems: Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Alarm System (FAS), and Security System (SCI).
- Exterior work: parking lots, exterior civil and MEP rooms, civil and MEP security guard booth, and civil and MEP storm drain.
Technical Challenges and Achievements
The main challenge of this expansion was meeting the project deadlines, which was achieved thanks to strategic planning, precise coordination, and teamwork among all the departments involved. The result: a project delivered on time and on schedule, ready for the client to begin operations at its facilities without delay.
