GP Group Joins Forces with "Destellos de Luz" for the 2026 GP Family Run

On October 18, Grupo GP employees and their families gathered at Parque Fundidora in Monterrey to participate in the 2026 GP Family Run. With 3K and 6K races, the event combined sports and socializing with a cause chosen by the employees themselves: supporting Destellos de Luz.

This year's event brought together more than 3,000 people, including runners and their supporters. Beyond the kilometers covered, the race was an opportunity for families to spend a day together and contribute to a common cause.

A cause chosen by the employees

Every year, Grupo GP employees help choose the charity that will benefit from the race. In 2026, they chose Destellos de Luz, an organization that works to provide specialized eye care to people in need.

Through registrations and contributions from Grupo GP and its suppliers, the initiative will help fund 20 eye surgeries and 12 special education scholarships. The cause began with a decision by the employees and gained the support of various individuals and companies associated with the group.

A race to enjoy with the whole family

The 3K and 6K races allowed both those looking to run and those who wanted to enjoy the experience with their families to participate. Throughout the day, employees from different departments stepped away from their usual activities, accompanied by the people with whom they share their lives outside of work.

The GP Family Race in Monterrey reflects Grupo GP’s approach to social responsibility: listening to its employees, joining forces, and turning a shared activity into tangible support for others.
