Innovation Summit 2025: The Future of Construction Begins Today

At GP Construcción, we know that building is more than just that: it also involves imagining, transforming, and innovating. That is why we are proud to celebrate the first edition of the Innovation Summit, an event that marks the beginning of a new phase in our evolution as a company and in driving innovation in Mexico’s construction industry.

The event took place at the Westin Hotel in Punto Valle, where we enjoyed a day of learning, inspiration, and networking among teams, leaders, and key industry guests.

A day for learning, sharing, and growing

During the event, we shared the cutting-edge technological tools we use at GP Construcción, drawing on real-world examples that demonstrate how digital transformation is already taking place on our construction sites. We discussed the present, but also our vision for the future: how we can grow together in a smarter, more sustainable, and more efficient way.

We were joined by special guest Luz María Vasquez, Director of Digital Engineering for Latin America and Sustainability Leader at Autodesk, who presented a global perspective on how technology is redefining construction processes worldwide.

We were also joined by Theo, our Boston Dynamics Spot robot—a tangible example of how automation and robotics are already an active part of our operations.

The contest: a platform for great ideas

One of the most exciting moments of the day was the contest, an internal call for entries that invited our employees to submit innovative ideas aimed at driving our company's transformation.

After a preliminary phase in which multiple proposals were received and evaluated, a selection committee chose three finalist teams and awarded an honorable mention.

During the event, the teams presented their ideas to the entire audience, and through a real-time voting process using a QR code, attendees were able to choose their favorite project. Finally, the jury deliberated and selected a winning team.

It motivates us to know that there are so many minds willing to imagine new ways of working, growing, and transforming the industry.

A Day of Community and Purpose

We wrapped up the day with a networking session that fostered camaraderie, the exchange of ideas, and the strengthening of the GP community. Amid conversations and good food, we reaffirmed one thing very clearly: we have a team ready to lead the evolution of the construction industry.

Innovation also means building

At GP Construcción, we firmly believe that innovation comes from people. This first Innovation Summit is just the beginning of a series of initiatives that will foster an increasingly collaborative, technology-driven, and future-oriented culture.
